About the Artist
Jennifer Hill, an accomplished ceramicist with an MFA in ceramics, has been teaching and exhibiting across the U.S. for years. Her work is renowned for its rich textures, subtle colors, and intimate scale, drawing inspiration from Kauai’s natural beauty. Banana blossoms, Hawaiian moa, and other elements of the island’s flora often appear in her abstracted designs and patterns.
Jennifer holds an MFA from Utah State University and a BFA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She has also studied at the University of Florida and has served as an assistant at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Maine. Before moving to Kaua’i, Jennifer was an artist-in-residence and instructor at Chester Springs Studio in Pennsylvania, later teaching at Portland Community College and Multnomah Arts Center in Oregon.
